During their 3-year term, associate members may maintain good standing and privileges by contributing to the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering as follows:

Expected Participation

- Collaborate on research with core BME faculty
- Participate in the BME departmental teaching program
- Contribute to the BME department through administrative services and other activities
- Participate in the BME and BBME research symposiums, such as 'Research Day'
- Place students in industry internships within the MTBME program
