Amidst growing concerns about the state of Canadian water, the goal of this conference is to promote a pan-Canadian strategy for the management of Canadian water resources. As the conference unfolds, I invite you to communicate your ideas, consider new perspectives and meet new people who share your interest in trying to understand water policy challenges and to determine how governments, private industry and citizens can respond to these challenges.
