Barbara Farina鈥檚 main area of practice is business law, primarily
in the fields of bank and venture capital financing and mergers and
acquisitions. Ms. Farina joined Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP in 1998
and became a partner in 2005. Ms. Farina also has expertise in the
following fields: banking and financial services, venture capital
financing (particularly in the fields of high technology and
biotechnology), corporate reorganization, information technology
and intellectual property.
Stephen Lloyd

-Stephen Lloyd has been head of the Commercial Department in
Montreal since 2004. He has developed sound expertise in private
company mergers and acquisitions, acting regularly for a collection
of public companies, family owned businesses and real estate trusts
in various complex transactions. Mr. Lloyd is also head of
Montreal鈥檚 Business Strategies Group and has extensive experience
in negotiating commercial arrangements for clients in various
industries, notably the forest products industry. He is head of
FMC鈥檚 National Forest Product Industry Practice Group and is
knowledgeable in the ongoing business operations of various
Canadian forest products companies.

Heenan Blaikie
-Danny Lew joined Heenan Blaikie in 2007, having first worked as a
student and completed his articling with the firm. Mr. Lew is a
member of our Labour and Employment Law Group and is particularly
interested in human rights, employment standards, public and
administrative law, as well as negotiation and interpretation of
collective agreements. In addition to English and French, Mr. Lew
is conversant in Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish and Portuguese.
Owen Ripley
3rd year Law Student

Owen is in his third year of law school and holds a BA in East
Asian History from 9I制作厂免费. He has completed his core requirements,
as well as courses in tax law, trust law and corporate law. During
his studies, he has helped organize a major constitutional law
conference in Quebec City, been a tutorial leader and been a member
of a moot team dealing with constitutional and administrative law
issues. Outside law, he works part-time as a Graphic Designer and
Communications Consultant.
