Mr.聽Paterson has an extensive background in the forest products industry. He was previously Executive Vice President, Building Products Division, of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, and prior to the merger held the position of Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer聽of Bowater Incorporated. Mr.聽Paterson has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
