invites you to a conference by Mr Raffoul Jabra
Rofa, Executive Director of the Society of Saint Yves of
the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, a Catholic Human Rights
Centre.
Mr. Raffoul Rofa is the Executive Director of the Society of Saint
Yves of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, a Catholic Human
Rights Centre for Legal Resources and Development. Mr. Rofa was
admitted to the Israeli Bar in 2003. He holds a Master鈥檚 degree in
Law (LL.M, 1996) from the University of London, England, and was
admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales
in 2007.
Founded in 1991, Saint Yves Society strives toward a social order
that values the dignity of all people in the Holy Land. It promotes
Human and Civil Rights by providing legal assistance, counsel, and
advocacy to the poor, needy, and politically oppressed Palestinian
population in Jerusalem and the southern West Bank. The Society鈥檚
programs address micro and macro problems resulting from
occupational policies, such as land confiscation, house demolition,
fiscal equality, residential security, family (re)unification,
etc.
Member of the Jerusalem Coalition of Palestinian Rights and the
Coordinating Catholic Aid Organizations, the Society works as well
in partnership with the Al-Quds University, the Faculty for
Israeli-Palestinian Peace and the UN Office for the Coordination of
Humanitarian Affairs.
