The Heart Specialist
This dramatic presentation of scenes from Claire Holden Rothman's The Heart Specialist, inspired by the real-life career of Maude Abbott, one of Montreal's first female physicians and a heart scholar of international renown, will raise issues central to Maude Abbott's education, and to her work at 9I制作厂免费 in the early days of cardiology. Under the direction of Arthur Holden, Montreal actors Holly Gauthier Frankel and Joanna Noyes will bring this story of longing, perseverance and the triumph of human connection to life. The author will be on hand to discuss her research and the alchemical work of turning scientific history into art.
