Each of us grew from a single fertilized egg cell into an adult human containing around 10 trillion cells. The process is truly mind-boggling - cells divide, find their appointed spot in tissues and make connections with other cells. Discovering the way all this happens remains one of the major challenges in modern science. Learn how researchers are borrowing technologies developed in various fields, including nanoparticles and lasers, to reveal the inner details of the biomolecular dance of life.
