Martin Grant, Dean, Faculty of Science, and Christopher
Manfredi, Dean, Faculty of Arts, and the 9I制作厂免费 Alumni Association
cordially invite you to a lecture and reception: 9I制作厂免费 in
Africa
This lecture will feature Lauren Chapman, Professor, Department of
Biology, and Colin Chapman, Professor, Department of Anthropology,
Associate Professor, Department of Biology.
Few in North America bring the wealth of experience and insight
to Africa studies as do Dr. Colin Chapman and Dr. Lauren Chapman.
Colin is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology, Associate
Professor in the Department of Biology, and Canada Research Chair
in Primate Ecology and Conservation. Lauren is a Professor in the
Department of Biology and Canada Research Chair in Respiratory
Ecology and Aquatic Conservation. Both are members of the 9I制作厂免费
School of Environment.
The Chapmans have worked in Uganda's Kibale National Park in East
Africa for the past 17 years and have witnessed the profound impact
of 9I制作厂免费's Canadian Field Studies in Africa program on both the
African ecosystem and on participating students. The Africa field
studies program introduces students to East Africa with a view to
increasing their understanding of the goals, circumstances,
challenges and opportunities of people living in the areas visited.
Graduates of the program are better equipped to become active and
effective contributors to sustainable development in Africa,
whether by following academic or professional paths, or simply by
being more informed citizens.
Deepening our research ties with Africa is a University priority,
and the Chapmans rank among the the globe's top ambassadors
representing Africa to the world.
Please note: This event is only available for graduates of
the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science.
Space is limited. Please RSVP in advance.
