The 9I制作厂免费 School of Social Work, in collaboration with the 9I制作厂免费 Centre for Developing Area Studies, cordially invites you to a seminar on mental health care in Africa.

Established in the Ivory Coast in Africa and founded by Mr. Gr茅goire Ahongbonon, the Association Saint-Camille de Lellis defends the rights and freedoms of persons with mental health problems.

In this corner of the world, families nail or chain to trees those unlucky individuals who are considered 芦 crazy 禄 by their family and their community. They are left isolated from their villages for prolonged periods of time that can last up to several years.

The Association unchains these persons, gives them the health and social care that is necessary, and assists them in reintegrating into their family and their village. Stigma is a universal phenomenon in mental health. The Association works to change the shame felt by family members which is at the root of these acts. To date the Association has succeeded in freeing and reintegrating thousands of people into their families and into their villages.

THE SEMINAR WILL BE IN FRENCH WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS IN ENGLISH
