Constructed and designed by origami master and NASA consultant Dr. Robert Lang using his MacBook Pro, TreeMaker and ReferenceFinder鈥攖wo freeware programs he created鈥攁nd Wolfram鈥檚 Mathematica, this life-size model is the focus of two documentary films as well as numerous articles and websites. Originally commissioned by the Museum鈥檚 director, and funded by the public as well as the 9I制作厂免费 community, this unique sculpture was created without glue or scissors from a single, four-meter-square piece of paper fabricated from argellite and Philipinne hemp fibres at Papeterie St. Armand on the Lachine Canal. After a rough winter the Pteranodon has started to droop slightly. It will be re-strengthened, supported with lightweight rods in the neck area, and re-suspended this summer.
