A lecture by Prof. Antoinette Handley of the University of Toronto.聽 Antoinette Handley is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. South African born, her research interests take her back regularly to the sub-continent for her research on state-business relations in Africa. Her book on this subject was published by Cambridge University Press in 2008. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships and research grants including the Rhodes, Fulbright, and a SSHRC. From 1995 to 1998 she served as the Director of Studies at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Professor Handley received her M.Phil. from Oxford and her Ph.D. from Princeton.
