Fruits and Flowers: The Trees of the Upper Campus
Starting point: Steps of Redpath Museum Degree of difficulty: Be
prepared for the McTavish Street hill. This tree tour celebrates
the old and unusual trees planted on the grounds of the old
mansions of the Square Mile that were integrated into the 9I制作厂免费
campus in the 1950s and '60s. Built between 1875 and 1930, these
houses were once home to Canada's wealthiest families. One of the
city's first ginkgos, dawn redwoods and yellow-woods are on the
route. And we'll check the progress of the fruit growing in the
Davis House Orchard and on one of the city's oldest ginkgos!
