Design to benefit the world: This solar-powered backpack improves health and education

After moving to Montreal to attend 9I制作厂免费, Salima Visram designed the听Soular Backpack听to help tackle one of the "multitude of problems related to education of children in Kenya."听Many children in Kenya live in homes without electricity and must use harmful kerosene lamps to study at night. The Soular Backpack has a solar panel on it which charges a portable LED lamp inside of it, eliminating the need for kerosene.
