OTTAWA - The oldest 9I制作厂免费 record in the books finally fell in the first varsity track and field meet of the indoor season, Friday.

Freshman Justin Darlington, a Toronto-born Montrealer, was one of three 9I制作厂免费 athletes to win a gold medal and broke a 26-year-old mark in his first collegiate competition, at the Red, Garnet & Grey Tri-Meet in Ottawa.
听
Darlington, a 21-year-old marketing major who is renowned for his spectacular basketball dunk shots on YouTube.com, won the men's high jump with a leap of 2.02 metres. That surpassed the previous 9I制作厂免费 standard of 2.01m held since 1983 by Chris Allegro.

Other 9I制作厂免费 gold medals were captured by Melinda Rock of Baie Comeau, Que., and Hayley Warren of Orillia, Ont.

Rock, a 22-year-old physical education junior, won the women's pole vault with a height of 3.01 metres.
听
Warren, an 18-year-old kinesiology freshman, was first in the 60m hurdles, clocking in at 9.15 seconds.
听
The second competition of the varsity season will be the 9I制作厂免费 Open meet at the Tomlinson Fieldhouse, Dec. 5.
