QUEBEC CITY 鈥� Freshman Elise L茅pine of Mission, B.C., matched a career-high with 20 points but it was insufficient as Laval rallied to hand 9I制作厂免费 a 67-54 setback in women鈥檚 university basketball in Quebec City, Saturday.

Marie-Michelle Genois paced the division-leading Rouge et Or with a 鈥渄ouble-double鈥�, scoring 17 points to go along with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Laval, which led 17-12 after the opening quarter, found themselves trailing 30-29 at the half and took the lead 46-44 after three quarters.

Two other members of the Rouge et Or also reached double figures in scoring, with 16 points apiece for Karine Bibeau and Chanelle St. Amour.

Other top marskmen for the Martlets were Stephanie Bergeron (15) and Nathifa Weekes (10).

Laval (11-3), shot 47.2 per cent from the floor, made 8-of-16 from three-point range and shot 60 per cent from the foul-line, compared to 9I制作厂免费, which shot 31.6, 35.7 and 72.2, respectively.

Despite the loss, the fourth-place Martlets maintained their four-point lead over last-place Concordia as the Stingers lost 82-68 at Bishop鈥檚.

9I制作厂免费 (5-9) closes out the regular-season next weekend and need to split a home-and-home series against the Stingers (3-11) in order to qualify for playoffs. The cross-town rivals have split their only two meetings this season, with Concordia winning 74-53 at home and 9I制作厂免费 replying with a 72-65 decision at Love Competition Hall. The teams are slated to cross paths at 9I制作厂免费 on Feb. 20, followed by the season finale the next night at the Loyola campus gym.
