Trips to Pakistan remind a young woman with roots there (Zara Jamal, who is completing her graduate diploma in accounting at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ) what it means to have been brought up in this country.

"No country is perfect. Every political system has its flaws, whether it be health care, discrimination or the language issue in Quebec; however, I think it is important to remember that Canada has progressed immensely. I feel fortunate to live in a multicultural society, to be able to walk safely on the streets of Montreal, to go to a great university, and to work in an environment where I am respected. These are rights for Canadians, but privileges for Pakistanis…"
