"We had a slow start and gave up an early goal which had us on our heels for a bit but we bounced back to take the lead after one, then wore them down with some real good energetic play over the last two periods," said Peter Smith, head coach of the Martlets.

The Oles-Daoust combination tallied 54 seconds apart in the middle frame, to break open a tight 2-1 affair into a 4-1 advantage before the seven-minute mark of the middle period.
