Sarah Riley Case will begin a one-year term as a Boulton Junior Fellow on 1 August 2021, before taking up the role of assistant professor effective 1 August 2022. Priya Gupta will begin as an associate professor on 1 August 2021, following a year-long term as a Senior Wainwright Fellow.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Helge Dedek will be promoted to the rank of full professor, effective 1 January 2021.
Professor Dedek joined the Faculty of Law in 2006 as a Boulton Junior Fellow. Appointed as assistant professor in 2007, he became an associate professor in 2012. From 2012鈥�2016, he served as the director of the Institute of Comparative Law. He has been the co-editor in chief of the American Journal of Comparative Law since 2014.
The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Samuel Gale Professor Robert Leckey, BCL/LLB鈥�02, has been reappointed as dean. Dean Leckey鈥檚 reappointment, approved by the Board of Governors at its meeting on 10 December 2020, is effective 1 July 2021 for a term of five years.
Dean Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, where he teaches and researches in constitutional law, family law, and comparative law. From 2014 to 2016, he served as director of the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.

We are pleased to share that Professor Emeritus the Hon. Irwin Cotler, OC, OQ, PC, BA鈥�61, BCL鈥�64, LLD鈥�19, has been named Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism by the Prime Minister of Canada. Professor Cotler is the first incumbent of this role aimed at preserving the stories of Holocaust survivors through younger generations, and working to promote and defend pluralism, inclusion, and human rights.
