A jury of experts selected Prof. Meaney, who is also Scientific Director at the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, for this honour for his pioneering, cutting edge research on the biological mechanisms by which parental behaviour affects brain development and lifelong function.

Dr. Karama is a 9I制作厂免费-trained general psychiatrist with research training in brain imaging and genetics. He received his PhD in Neuroscience from the Universit茅 de Montr茅al. He completed a 15-month postdoctoral fellowship at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Behavioral Genetics as well as a five-year postdoctoral fellowship in Brain Imaging at the Montreal Neurological Institute.
