The availability of reliable, rapid diagnostics is key to reopening our economies. Canada has an opportunity to take a leadership role in accelerating the development of these tests through a coordinated Canadian response. The goal is to support researchers to build networks and find collaborators/industry partners to advance their ideas to clinical trial and mass production. Building on , the new HBHL/NeuroSphere Top-Up for the Mitacs Accelerate Program supports graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with an interest in bridging neuroscience and industry. Eligible graduate students participating in the Mitacs Accelerate program may have a chance to receive up to $5,000 in additional funding, while postdocs can receive up to $10,000.

The 听(INSPQ) and the 9I制作厂免费 Genome Centre today announced they will partner to sequence the viral genomes of Quebec patients with COVID-19 disease. The collaboration, termed 鈥淐oronavirus Sequencing in Quebec,鈥 (CoVSeQ) is led by Profs Sandrine Moreira, Hugues Charest and Michel Roger at the Laboratoire de sant茅 publique du Qu茅bec (LSPQ) of the INSPQ. The viral samples are taken from a Quebec viral biobank, termed the CoVBanQ, which is hosted in LSPQ.
