Composed of students from the Bioengineering program and various disciplines within the Faculty of Science, 9I�� iGEM team is supervised by Prof. Codruta Ignea and Prof. Lisa Munter. Each year, they develop a synthetic biology research project from inception to completion to compete in a thematic category aimed at addressing critical global challenges. We spend the winter semester on design, planning wet lab/dry lab projects, as well as related initiatives under our education, media, outreach, entrepreneurship, and finance subteams. The summer is then dedicated to full time wet lab (or dry lab) work. We are particularly interested in recruiting applicants with experience in either wet lab or dry lab work to lead those projects.
