Biography:
Dr. Melissa-Rosina Pasqua received her training in Biochemistry and her Doctorate in Medicine, 2016, at the University of Ottawa. She trained in Core Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at 9I制作厂免费, 2021. Her PhD (2021-2024) in Experimental Medicine, conducted at 9I制作厂免费 under Professor Ahmad Haidar, focused on the potential benefit of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP1 receptor agonists as adjunct to automated insulin pump therapy in adults with type 1 diabetes. She received an FRQS Award and the CSEM Dr. Fernard Labrie postdoctoral research award during her graduate studies.
Her clinical and research focus pertains to type 1 diabetes care, adjunctive therapy, and diabetes technologies, particularly insulin pumps and replacement algorithms.
