Welcome to the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE)!听听

Department Chair, Bronwen Low
Department Chair, Bronwen Low
We are committed to inclusive excellence in education, working across settings such as schools, community organizations, non-governmental organizations, and cultural institutions in local and global contexts, contributing to practice, knowledge, policy, and advocacy. We see teaching and learning as central to positive social change and support novice and experienced educators and researchers in meeting the challenges and possibilities of the moment.听听

Through our Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning (MATL), we prepare students to become certified teachers in Quebec and beyond. We collaborate with local elementary and secondary schools to deliver our teacher education programs, drawing on the distinctive multilingual and multicultural character of Montreal鈥檚 educational landscape.听

Our B.A.(Education) in Global Contexts, Masters, and PhD in Educational Studies programs prepare educational leaders, scholars, and changemakers within a variety of educational settings.听听

DISE鈥檚 graduate certificates enable in-service teachers and administrators to grow through professional development, preparing them for leadership or specialized roles in scholastic environments.听

Our students become critical scholars, creative problem-solvers, educational researchers, administrators, teacher educators, classroom expert teachers, program developers, curriculum designers, and embark on many other careers that value education鈥檚 wide-ranging and transferable skillset. 听

We invite you to learn more about what DISE has to offer and how you might become a member of our dynamic community. Our dedicated academic and administrative teams look forward to supporting you.听

Warm wishes,听
