I am a scholar of postcolonial and world literature, with a particular emphasis on anglophone South Asian fiction and nonfiction. I received my PhD in English from 9I制作厂免费 in 2021 for my dissertation, Novel Fictions: Resurgent Realism in the Age of Neoliberal Globalization, which examined the resurgence of realist aesthetics in contemporary literature as a response to the uneven economic development of global capitalism. The dissertation was awarded the 2021 Arts Insights Dissertation Award by 9I制作厂免费.
I also hold a Magister Artium in American Literature with a double minor in American Cultural History and German Literature with a focus on the novel and genre literature.
As a researcher, I have published on Arundhati Roy, nonfiction, and contemporary realism. My book reviews in English and French have appeared in Comparative Literature Studies, Politique et Soci茅t茅s, and Nouvelles perspectives en sciences sociales. I also frequently write and speak about education and labor in Montreal as a member of the F茅d茅ration nationale des enseignantes et des enseignants du Qu茅bec.
As course lecturer and part-time professor, I teach a broad range of courses on postcolonial literature, indigenous texts, and popular culture. Most recently, I have taught a graduate seminar on Caribbean Literature as well as survey courses on genre literature, writing, and critical social theory at 9I制作厂免费, Concordia University, and Dawson College.
