Teresa Rudkin: An inspiration to countless medical educators

Dr. Teresa Rudkin advocates for issues ranging from care of marginalized and vulnerable populations to genetic syndromes, to interactive teaching and other medical topics. As a clinician educator, she is one of our Family Medicine Heroes.

鈥淒r. Teresa Rudkin is an amazing clinician educator. She can make the most complex concepts appear simple. She is a frequent invited guest speaker at conferences, to physician groups and for residency teaching. She speaks on issues ranging from care of marginalized and vulnerable populations to genetic syndromes, to interactive teaching and other medical topics. She makes learning fun and engaging. She has worked as the Assistant Program Director for postgraduate medical education where she helped create benchmarks for assessment of learners and a resident study guide. She has also worked as a member of the faculty development committee where she has inspired countless other medical educators. She is a master teacher and motivator of both students and faculty.鈥

About Dr. Rudkin

Dr. Teresa Rudkin received a Master of Science degree in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at 9I制作厂免费. She graduated from medicine at the University of Ottawa and trained in the Postgraduate Department of Medical Genetics at 9I制作厂免费 before settling into her true calling by specializing in Family Medicine. She is now trying to meet the challenges of primary care for patients with genetic syndromes in a community setting at the CLSC C么te-des-Neiges. She hopes she can inspire other family doctors to enjoy following these special patients.
