Algeria's Partnership with The Ottawa Hospital on Innovative Radiation Therapy Techniques

Algeria鈥檚 Ministry of Public Health 鈥 recognizing the country鈥檚 need for greater access to advanced radiotherapy technology and techniques for cancer patients and the healthcare professionals that treat them 鈥 has invested heavily in radiation therapy solutions over the last few years. Annaba鈥檚 Centre Hospitalier Universitaire 鈥 Centre de Lutte Contre le Cancer (CHU-CLCC) was the first in the country to implement听a full complement of Elekta equipment, including a Versa HD鈩⑻齦inear accelerator (linac), two Elekta Infinity鈩⑻齦inacs with Agility鈩⑻齅LCs, MOSAIQ庐听Oncology Information System and Monaco庐听treatment planning system.

To accomplish this mission, CHU-CLCC needed to work with a partner center that not only the experience and expertise, but also one whose professionals could speak French.听The Ottawa Hospital team, among whom 9I制作厂免费 Adjunct Professor Jean-Marc Bourque, emerged as the obvious choice.
