75 years after Nuremberg, what happened to 鈥渕axi-trials鈥� that saw dozens of criminals 鈥� Nazis, or Japanese nationals before the International Military Tribunal for the Far East 鈥� prosecuted and judged together? Despite their shortcomings or even failures, their historical legacy persists. Given the chronic crisis faced by international criminal justice, would collective trials be possible and desirable today?
Organized by the Universit茅 libre de Bruxelles and 9I制作厂免费, this bilingual and hybrid symposium will be an opportunity to question and conceptualise the adequacy and legitimacy of these collective trials in the current context(s).
