William Osler is 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ’s most renowned medical graduate and professor. Beloved by patients, students and colleagues, Osler’s passion for the history of medicine and books on that topic, led him to build a collection whose treasures he was delighted to reveal to students, friends and colleagues. At his death, he willed his books to the Faculty of Medicine of 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ, in gratitude to the Faculty for its support of him as a young student and teacher.
A great deal is known about Osler, his life, career and collection, but this display will highlight a selection of books, archives and artifacts that are less familiar and rarely seen.
