The Plant Science Department invites everyone to attend a special seminar by , Professor Emeritus, University of California, Berkeley.
Prof. Buchanan and his collaborators work on redox regulation and cereal improvement, specifically studying thioredoxin. 鈥淭hioredoxin(Trx) is a disulfide protein found in all types of living cells. Discovered as an electron donor for ribonucleotide reductase, Trxhas since been found to play a regulatory role in a spectrum of processes throughout biology. The protein is also finding a place in medicine and biotechnology.鈥
