Canadian dairy experts are rethinking their approach to the industry, now recommending that cows have more freedom of movement in order to improve their well-being. This is a far cry from how dairy farms currently maintain their herds, especially in Quebec. As such, the 鈥淐ode of Practice for the Care and Handling of Dairy Cattle鈥, a reference tool for Canadian dairy producers, is currently under revision.

The Building of Macdonald College
