Two-dimensional superintegrable systems from operator algebras in one dimension.
We develop new constructions of 2D classical and quantum Superintegrable Hamiltonians with separation of variables in Cartesian coordinates. We rely on four types of 1D Hamiltonians allowing operators of the type Integral, Heisenberg, Conformal or Ladder. We demonstrate that all classical and quantum superintegrable systems separable in Cartesian coordinates with a second and third order integral of motion are in fact reducible as all integrals can be derived from properties of their 1D Hamiltonian components
