He is the dire ctor of the Quantitative Neuroimaging Laboratory (https://qnlab.weill.corn ell.edu) and the imaging director of the Brain Health Imaging institute (h ttps://radiology.weill.cornell.edu/research/brain-health-imaging-instit... ). He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Signal and Image Processing from the University of Texas. He join ed the faculty of Columbia University in 2013 after completing two postdoc toral fellowships at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University Irving Medical School. His research focus is on functional bra in imaging to understand how brain networks function and interact to execu te complex tasks. He has authored over 80 scientific articles. He is curre ntly as associate editor for Brain Connectivity and Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and a member of numerous research community included but not limi ted to: Society for Neuroscience\, Human Brain Mapping\, and IEEE. Approxi mately 25 undergraduate student\, 5 Ph.D. students\, and 10 postdoctoral f ellows have gained training in his laboratory. He is the recipient of nume rous research awards from Columbia University research initiatives in scie nce and engineering (RISE)\, Taub Institute Alzheimer's disease research c enter (ADRC)\, and Irving Institute integrating special populations (ISP).
