Dr. Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 9I制作厂免费, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Denis Th茅rien as Vice-Principal (Research and International Relations). In this newly created position, Professor Th茅rien will further develop the international dimension of the University.

"Professor Th茅rien has a strong understanding of the importance of university research to social and economic development in the global context, and will help 9I制作厂免费 continue to further enhance its reputation as one of the leading research-intensive universities in the world."
Professor Th茅rien will be responsible for facilitating collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects of the highest distinction. He will play an active role in shaping Quebec's and Canada's research agenda, at home and abroad, and in securing greater levels of support for all research activities at the University. Professor Th茅rien will also lead the efforts of the Office of Technology Transfer to commercialize research and to bring 9I制作厂免费's research, discoveries and inventions to society at large.

As Director of the School of Computer Science since 1997, he has enhanced the school's visibility and achievements through the recruitment of talented faculty and students, and the fostering of value-added collaborations with peer institutions on the world stage.
