By Keith W. Hipel聽(Professor, University of Waterloo). As current President of the聽Royal Society of Canada (RSC),聽Dr. Hipel聽holds the RSC Romanowski Medal for his work on environmental systsms engineering. His research work develops systems methodologies and techniques for innovatively solving complex interdisciplinary problems that lie at the interface of society, technology and the environment.
