Immerse yourself in a hands-on, interactive archaeological dig led by Michelle Della Corte (Concordia University, Classics and Archeology), recently returned from a dig in Argilos, Greece. Michelle majors in Classical Civilization (in which Archaeology is a huge component) and Anthropology.聽 Participants will learn about archeological tools, methods and the techniques used to uncover the artifacts from the past. They will go to an outdoor simulated archaeological site near the Museum to uncover buried artifacts鈥攔ecording and cataloging each as it is uncovered. Once the artifacts are uncovered, they wil return to the Museum to pieces together and identify their finds. For all ages. Bilingual.

Au cours de l鈥檃telier, les participants se familiariseront avec les outils, m茅thodes et techniques arch茅ologiques servant 脿 mettre au jour des artefacts du pass茅. Une fois 脿 l鈥檌nt茅rieur du site arch茅ologique situ茅 脿 proximit茅 du Mus茅e, ils se mettront 脿 la recherche d鈥檃rtefacts enfouis, les r茅pertoriant et les cataloguant au fur et 脿 mesure. De retour au Mus茅e, ils r茅uniront et identifieront les tr茅sors qu鈥檌ls auront d茅nich茅s.
