SSHRC Insight Grants - Information Session
The purpose of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program is to provide support for long-term research initiatives of 3 to 5 years for emerging and established scholars in the social sciences and humanities.
Researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature who are planning to apply to the upcoming SSHRC Insight Grant fall 2016 competition are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include
- A brief听presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the SSHRC Insight Grant Program by听Joanna Mastalerek, Grants Officer, Social Sciences and Humanities;
- presentations from Prof. Markus Poschke (Department of Economics) and Prof. Gordon Bloom (Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education) who served as Insight Grant selection committee members in the last competition and will provide potential applicants with information about the peer-review system and strategies for preparing a successful proposal;
- 听a听question and answer period听where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.听
Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to听maureen [dot] donato [at] mcgill [dot] ca (Maureen Donato)听(ext. 2141) or Joanna Mastalerek听(ext. 7300) in advance so that they may be included in the session.
