The School of Population and Global Health invites you to a discussion with Quarraisha Abdool Karim, co-winner of the John Dirks Canada Gairdner Global Health Award for discovering antiretrovirals to prevent sexual transmission of HIV. This groundbreaking work laid the foundations for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), the HIV prevention strategy contributing to the reduction of HIV infection in Africa and worldwide.听
