CCTR 310D1 Comparative Stylistics 2 (1.5 credits)

Overview

Translation : Provides linguistic and stylistic comparisons between English and French in terms of their relation to the practical study of Translation. Comparative analysis of the structures of the two languages will be used to outline the common problems of translation and to develop strategies for dealing with them. The emphasis will be placed on problems of grammar, syntax and style.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2010-2011 academic year.

  • Students must also register for CCTR 310D2
  • No credit will be given for this course unless both CCTR 310D1 and CCTR 310D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
  • CCTR 310D1 and CCTR 310D2 together are equivalent to CCTR 310
