Overview
Nursing : Research issues surrounding the measurement of pain throughout childhood. Topics include measurement theory, theoretical and conceptual definitions of pain in children, scale construction, format and scaling issues, reliability, validity, clinical unity, developmental considerations, self-report formats, observational formats, physiological indicators of pain.
Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.

- Prerequisite: Graduate-level course in inferential statistics and graduate or undergraduate course in child development, or permission of the instructor.
