The Faculty of Law is pleased to share that Professor Adelle Blackett and Professor Emeritus Armand de Mestral have been appointed to Canada鈥檚 rosters of experts for the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). These rosters will be used to constitute expert panels that will examine various matters arising under CETA.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome Brian Peebles to its administrative team. He took over the role of Assistant Dean (Strategic Planning) on October 9, 2018.
Before joining 9I制作厂免费, Peebles worked as Legal Counsel for the public sector team of technology multinational Oracle, in Toronto. He has completed a BA in Political Science at 9I制作厂免费 and worked for the Institute for Research on Public Policy before completing joint JD and LLL degrees at the University of Ottawa and articling at Norton Rose Fulbright.

We are delighted to announce that BCL/LLB candidates Laura Davis and Jared Miller were hired to help support Indigenous initiatives at the Faculty of Law.
Laura and Jared will seek to build partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations, meet with stakeholders to determine the needs of Indigenous students at the Faculty, and further develop the L.E.X. Outreach program to reach more Indigenous youth.
