The third installation of聽9I制作厂免费 Innovation Week took place in聽November 2015, featuring聽nineteen events which integrated聽9I制作厂免费 students and faculty with the local Montreal innovation community.聽

On October 23, 2015, the 9I制作厂免费 community welcomed David Bornstein聽to speak to a captive audience on social entrepreneurship, social innovation, and the power of solutions based journalism. Part of 9I制作厂免费's Homecoming events, this 4th installment of the SEI Keynote was entitled "The Possible Nation: Social Innovation and the Art of Unleashing Human Potential".

The Social Economy Initiative in partnership with the 9I制作厂免费 Quartier de l鈥橧nnovation (QI) team invites 9I制作厂免费 student (graduate and undergraduate) applications to a part-time 6-month internship developing a case study on 9I制作厂免费鈥檚 partnership and involvement with the Salon 1861 (Gestion immobili猫re Quo Vadis).聽
The project will be co-supervised by Desautels Professors Emmanuelle Vaast and Ruthanne Huising with support from Ms. Isabelle P茅an of the 9I制作厂免费 QI team.
9I制作厂免费 students have incredible ideas and know how to enact positive social change. Now you can help them apply their knowledge and passion through the Impact Internship Program at the Social Economy Initiative (SEI) of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM). The program pairs top undergraduate students with social-purpose organizations (i.e. non-profits and social enterprises) for ten weeks over the summer.
Introduction
The Social Economy Initiative (SEI) is an important vehicle through which 9I制作厂免费鈥檚 Desautels Faculty of Management integrates social entrepreneurship and social innovation into its teaching, research and outreach activities. The SEI is an undertaking of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM). The Institute鈥檚 mandate is to foster an integrated approach to management.
The goals of the SEI are threefold:
Over the years, the end of final exams has inspired any number of spontaneous displays of pure happiness, including high fives, chest bumping and uncontrollable giggling. But what was up with the 100 or so students boogying in the streets at the crossroads on lower campus on Tuesday, Dec. 3 鈥 two days before finals kicked off?
On Friday, the Social Economy Initiative (SEI) presented its Second Annual Homecoming Keynote event in the Bronfman Building. The event featured presentations from five social entrepreneurships including Aspire鈥 the 2013 Hult Prize winning team, as well as four past winners of the 9I制作厂免费 Dobson Cup. Each team elaborated on their companies and the ways in which their work has had an impact.
Scott Weatherhead, an MBA student at 9I制作厂免费 in Canada and the Social Economy Initiative's impact intern, travels through North Korea and South Africa in search of a use for his theoretical knowledge.
Professor Karl Moore of the Desautels Faculty of Management at 9I制作厂免费 reports from the Social Economy Initiative's flagship event, where former primer minister Paul Martin speaks about how youth can take hold of the new age of social enterprise.
On Thursday, the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management and the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Science welcomed Charles Eisenstein for a discussion regarding his book 鈥淪acred Economics鈥 Money, Gift & and Society in the Age of Transition.鈥 The presentation included a Q&A session, which was followed by a cocktail reception.
