Governance

CINE鈥檚 governance is guided by a collaborative framework that ensures Indigenous knowledge and perspectives are central to decision-making.

The structure includes the following key components:

Indigenous Advisory Board

The Indigenous Advisory Board offers invaluable guidance in CINE鈥檚 decision-making processes, drawing on their cultural knowledge and perspectives. The board meets 3-4 times per year with CINE leadership to provide input and direction on key initiatives.

CINE Leadership

  • The Director and Associate Director
  • The Founding Director
  • Indigenous Faculty Members

CINE faculty

Professors affiliated with CINE meet every two months to discuss collaborative projects, academic activities, and strategies for the center鈥檚 growth. These meetings provide a platform to share research updates, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and align efforts with CINE鈥檚 overarching goals.

CINE Student Committee

CINE also fosters student involvement through a dedicated Student Committee, which meets regularly to discuss initiatives, provide feedback, and support CINE's education mission.
