Brendan is investigating the effects of augmenting agricultural compost with biochar in terms of the biochars' ability to retain agriculturally-valuable and environmentally deleterious nitrogen-containing gases. The research is divided into the physical composting stage, and a supplemental phytotoxicity and effects on plant production stage.聽
