Intuitive Eating: Tips on creating a balanced, intuitive approach to meal planning (Online)
Offered by the Health and Wellness Program听
In the last workshop, Amani Al-asmar, Registered Dietitian and Faculty Lecturer at the School of Human Nutrition, introduced the concept of intuitive eating and its guiding principles, focusing on breaking free from diet culture and reconnecting with natural hunger and fullness cues. The upcoming session builds on this foundation by exploring the practice of mindful eating, with an emphasis on creating a balanced, intuitive approach to meal planning.
Participants will learn how to structure meals by understanding the essential components of a balanced plate, the impacts of omitting key nutrients, and how these choices affect energy, mood, and overall well-being. Practical strategies, including a meal-planning tool, will be shared to help participants align their meals with their individual needs while fostering a sustainable and mindful relationship with food.
