ISS is available virtually and in-person Mondays-Fridays during business hours.
If you are a US citizen or a US permanent resident (Green Card Holder) and you have received your CAQ, you can apply for your study permit online or in person at a Canadian Port of Entry (airport or land border) upon entry to Canada.
If you wish to apply for your study permit in person at a POE, you are not required to complete and present any immigration forms,听but you must travel with the supporting documents below:
- US passport or proof of US permanent residency
- CAQ
- Letter of acceptance from 9I制作厂免费 (available on Minerva)
- Photocopies of your听
- Proof of an immigration medical exam听only if听you need/want to work in a job where public health must be protected 鈥 e.g. required for Bachelor or Nursing and Bachelor of Education students, if you want to babysit, etc.
- Co-op work permit letter听only if听your program includes a mandatory internship. You must provide a letter from your department confirming that you have a mandatory internship in order to obtain a co-op work permit
- If you are a minor and under 17 years of age,听bring听copies of your听custodianship documents.
You must pay:
- the processing fee of $150 CAD (CAD or US cash, debit or credit card accepted)
- the biometrics fee of $85 CAD听only if听you are a US permanent resident听and听you have not provided your biometrics in the past ten years ()
Before you leave your Port of Entry, verify that your name, date of birth, and gender are all correct on your document听and听that you have "on-campus and off-campus" work provisions under the 鈥淩emarks鈥 section at the bottom.
