The second听inaugural lecture series took place in three different Canadian cities: Vancouver,听Montreal, and Toronto this year.听Denise Hearn and Vass Bednar wrote听"The Big Fix: How Companies Capture Markets and Harm Canadians," which delves with how companies perpetuate the illusion of rivalry to disguise their dominance, and how they鈥檝e shifted from competing within industries to accumulating assets across industries, further entrenching their power.听

Dr. Liu, a veteran humanitarian aid worker, is a Canadian practicing paediatric emergency physician at University of Montreal and professor at 9I制作厂免费鈥檚 School of Population & Global Health where she focuses on pandemic and health emergencies at the Pandemics and Health Emergency Readiness Lab (PERL).听She is the Chair of the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva.
