Boris Bernhardt, Ph. D., professeur adjoint de neurologie et de neurochirurgie et titulaire d’une chaire de recherche du Canada, dirige le au Neuro (Institut-hôpital neurologique de Montréal).
Dans son laboratoire, on étudie le rôle de l’organisation structurelle et fonctionnelle des réseaux cérébraux dans la cognition d’ordre supérieur chez des populations saines et malades, notamment dans l’épilepsie et l’autisme. Pour ce faire, on a développé des méthodes neuro-informatiques qui intègrent des modèles de connectome à grande échelle basés sur la neuro-imagerie, l’histologie 3D et transcriptomique.
Boris Bernhardt a publié plus de 130 articles avec comité de lecture et son équipe a mis en libre accès plusieurs progiciels et ensembles de données pour la cartographie multi-échelle du cerveau humain, entre autres, , , ).
