Listeners (with and without musical experience) as well as performing musicians can participate in experiments in the Sequence Production Lab听for a small honorarium. Experiments usually last less than one hour; the tasks usually involve performing or listening to short musical passages. Participants' anonymity is preserved.
Current Experiment:听 Group Dynamics in Rhythmic Synchronization
We are seeking musically trained adults to play simple rhythms with other participants. The study takes about 120 minutes and is scheduled at your convenience. Participants should be 18-35 years of age, have at least 6 years of private lessons on an instrument other than drums, and must not have diagnosed hearing problems to participate. Participants will receive a small honorarium for their time (30 minutes in solo tasks on day 1, 90 minutes in joint tasks on day 2).听
