Overview

Islamic Studies : The development of philosophical thought among Muslims, its classical background and its role in Islamic culture. Analytical study of major authors, their writings and their central problems. Reading of primary sources in Arabic and Persian. Contents of this course will change from year to year.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2011-2012 academic year.

  • Seminar 2 hours
  • Students must register for both ISLA 741D1 and ISLA 741D2
  • No credit will be given for this course unless both ISLA 741D1 and ISLA 741D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
