9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ offers a variety of Information Technology resources open to students, faculty, staff, and other members of the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ community. Please see the following sections, the For your Information Technology (IT) Needs section, and the IT Services website for further details.
When using all 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ IT services, whether hosted on premises, by an external supplier, or in the cloud, you must comply with the Policy on the Responsible Use of 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Information Technology Resources as approved by the University Senate. You can find this policy in the listing of University Policies, Procedures and Guidelines under Information Technology, at www.mcgill.ca/secretariat/policies/informationtechnology.
Your usage of cloud services, whether provided by 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ or self-acquired as a consumer service, must respect the Cloud Data Directive. The Cloud Data Directive is also available at www.mcgill.ca/secretariat/policies/informationtechnology.
All students are assigned a 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Email Address (usually in the form of firstname.lastname@mail.mcgill.ca) and are given a 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ email mailbox. You can view your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Email Address and set your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Password on Minerva (www.mcgill.ca/minerva), under the Personal Menu.
Email sent to your 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Email Address is an official means of communication between 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ and its students. As with all official University communications, it is your responsibility to ensure you read and act upon University emails in a timely fashion. If you choose to forward University email to another email mailbox, it is your responsibility to ensure that the alternate email mailbox is valid.

my9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ is a collection of useful links and offers an integrated web experience with a single sign-on (SSO) to several 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ web systems. This allows you to access multiple 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ systems without being prompted for additional logins.
